******Attention All Global Studies Students***

We are preparing ourselves in case schools need to be closed for an extended period of time.   We have to make sure that we can have some contact time as we still prepare for the regents in June.  Towards that end I am shifting over to google classroom so that I can post assignments and videos and to collect some work from you.  I need everyone to sign in to google classroom.  The codes for each period are the following:
Period 1 -- m3upkwv
Period 5 -- goyrfzd
Period 6 -- fox7ihf
Please spread the word to everyone you know to log on immediately.  If anyone has any problems please email me at [email protected]

**I need you to submit the Schindler's List #4 and the Running Global Notes for pages 1120-1129 by Friday March 20.  Please submit them to google classroom.  These assignments, and all future assignments, the district has mandated, will be marked with grade of pass or fail.  You all know the type of work I expect from you.  Give me your best effort.

**I have also placed a document in each google classroom.  In this document it says that I will be available for questions tomorrow, Thursday March 19, from 8 am to 9 am.  Please send me all questions on the teacher email address.

Going forward, if schools are closed longer, our day of instruction will be on Wednesday from 8am - 9 am.

Take care, stay focused and stay in touch if you need help.

**********Updated on Friday March 27

From now on I need you all to do the following:
1.  Check google classroom for work, videos, and class notes.
2.  Check Castle Learning for questions to practice on.  This week you will have multiple choice questions to do.  Pace yourself.  Some will be repetitive.  You should be able to go through these questions quickly.  Check your answers.
3.  Check this website for the readings to be doing.

****We will assume that there will be a regents exam given at the end of the year.  So reading the text book will be important.  You don't want to be caught on the regents with questions about things that you have not read about.  Continue to do your Running Global Notes.  It can only help you.  I will try to pace the reading out over a number of days.
****If you have ANY questions at all please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected].  You can contact me any time.  I will check my emails at least once a day and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

****O.K. folks, the snow has wrecked havoc on our assignment game plan.  Here is what we are going to do:  I will collect ALL the homework from Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights on Monday 1/8.  We will be discussing pages 1006-1011 on Monday.  We will be discussing pages
1012-1018 on Tuesday and pages 1019-1021 on Wednesday.  If, on any day, we finish early we will start the next days lesson.  Our quiz, and last exam grade of the quarter, will be on Thursday.  (Sorry Ava)  Because you did all of your homework during this snow break you will only have studying and Current Events to do the week of 1/8 - 1/12. (You're Welcome)  On Friday January 12th I will be taking my seniors to Washington D.C. to tour the National Holocaust Museum.  I want you to bring in your Mid-Term Review Dittos and to work on filling them in.   ****I hope that you all are utilizing your time off wisely.  Take a break from binge watching Stranger Things, Black Mirror or Riverdale and begin to organize yourself.  You should be working your way through the outline dittos that I gave you making sure that you are putting together questions for me and areas that you feel you are the weakest in.  You also should be trying to formulate possible essay questions and responses.  Think of things that have been recurring themes so far in this course.   Topics like, key people, revolutions, turning points, nationalistic movements, technological achievements, political systems, economic systems, geographic impact, and if I get my way, significant historical quotes.  You should be preparing yourself with three examples that you can discuss in great length and in great detail. .  Do NOT waste good study time worrying about obscure people or events.  (This is your hint Jenna)  One last reminder:  you ALL should be going over our old tests and quizzes.  You should be reviewing multiple choice questions.  This can only help you for the Mid-Term as well as the Regents.  I hope that everyone enjoys their time off and I expect that you will all be ready to put in a big effort this week.
